Purple & Green Baby Shower

A little late posting this baby shower. This shower was for my nephew.   I am going to be a great-aunt and this is my sister's first grandchild. Both of us are very excited!!! Of course when my sister asked me to help I couldn't say no and plus my family lives in Raliegh, NC, so this was  a great chance to see them.

Lets start with the invitation that I created.  I used card stock and duck tape

My sister went with Purple (the mom-to-be’s favorite color) lime green (my sister’s favorite color) and just to make it fun we added the zebra print.  I love using paper lanterns.  They are inexpensive and you can get them in just about every color and size.  My sister had two pictures hanging on the wall, no problem I covered them with some zebra print fabric.

The centerpiece is tissue pom-pom, real easy to make and very in expensive  Placed it on top of candle stick with a couple of stuff animals

The Gift Table

The centerpiece on the dessert table I made a 2 tier diaper cake.  Cupcakes were made by Edible Arts in Raleigh, NC.

 

The prize table:  decorated the bags by adding ribbon and a plastic diaper pin.

Smores

I love making smores with my grandson.  The other day while shopping for marshmallows I noticed that not only did they come in the regular flavor marshmallow; they had a variety of flavors marshmallows.  Let me know if you decide to be adventurous and using a flavored marshmallow on your smores.  I think I will keep to the original, but I will definitely try the stacker next time.

On Sale Now!!!

Went to AC Moore over the weekend and couldn’t believe it.  All of the Christmas ornaments are on sale for $1.00.  OMG!  You do know that ornaments are not just for the tree.  My imagination is running.  I can hear my girls now, really mom!  =)!. Happy Monday Everyone!!

DIY Invitation

No longer does duct tape come in silver.  Have you seen all the colors and patterns?  You can make just about anything out of duct tape.  My sister asked me to create the invitations for my nephews' baby shower.  I went zebra print duct tape and card stock paper

Those two things became this nice and chic invitation.  I have more pictures to share with you.  I will post them soon.

How Cute Are These!!

How cute are these.  Now I would love to have these on my dessert table and yes they are cupcakes.  I love to see food dressed up!!

Spa Favor/Treat Table

A spa favor/treat table was created for Jordan who turned 7. The buffet had just about everything a little girl could want. Body spray, lotion, barrettes, nail files, nail brushes, lip balm, sunglasses, head bands, And some sweets; ring pops, whirly pops, twizzlers, bubble gum and hershey kisses. This theme was so much fun
